It Started with a Gnat Problem
Every Canadian plant lover knows the winter routine. Windows stay shut, the furnace runs, the soil stays damp, and suddenly tiny black flies are everywhere. That was life in our home, too.
The sprays we found weren't something we wanted near our kitchen, our family or our plants. The sticky cards we tried were plain, single-sided and looked like a bug problem on display. So we set out to make something better.
Meet Michelle Khatib, Founder
Hi, I'm Michelle. Before Canuck Landing, I spent years working in education. Outside the classroom, I was the friend everyone texted when their houseplants looked sad.
I designed our yellow sticky traps around three simple rules: they had to work, they had to be safe to use in a family home, and they had to look nice enough to leave on the windowsill. That's why every trap is sticky on both sides and cut into butterfly and flower shapes.
Today our traps are on Amazon.ca, Walmart.ca, and on shelves of various garden centres, grocery and hardware stores across Canada. When you buy from us, you're supporting a real Canadian home business, and that means a lot to us.
